The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Stimulus Bill) contained $300 million for the purchase of energy-efficient motor vehicles for the federal fleet. President Barack Obama announced that the GSA would support the U.S. auto industry with orders for about 17,600 new fuel-efficient vehicles through June 1, 2009, with an accelerated schedule, with money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. GSA is expected to pay $285 million to General Motors Corporation, Chrysler LLC and Ford Motor Company. It is expected to contain 2,500 hybrid sedans — the largest single purchase of hybrid vehicles to date for the federal government — and each new vehicle is expected to improve fuel consumption by at least 10 percent over its predecessor. The GSA is expected to spend an additional $15 million this year on a pilot fleet of advanced technology vehicles, including fully electric vehicles and hybrid buses.  In response to COVID-19 (coronavirus), the GSA is taking several steps to improve safety and health in state-occupied premises. In 2012, U.S. Congressman John Mica, chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, called for a congressional investigation into the GSA`s misuse of federal funds.  Lawmakers accused the GSA of “wasted spending” after the 2010 Western Regions Training Conference at the M Resort in Las Vegas.

But then again, the ad is free. Step 5: Make your site “GSA-freundlich”. Some companies have a separate website for federal authorities via their GSA Advantage link! System. However, an even simpler approach is to update or modify your company`s website to reflect your new GSA. Here are some possible changes to consider: The GSA employs about 12,000 federal employees and has an annual operating budget of about $20.9 billion. The GSA monitors the $66 billion in procurement annually. It helps manage approximately $500 billion of U.S.
federal ownership, mainly divided between 8,700 clean, leased buildings and a fleet of 215,000 vehicles. The real estate assets managed by the GSA are the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C, the largest federal building in the United States after the Pentagon, and the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center (which was previously John Harvey Kellogg`s sanitarium battle Creek).
