nuumstudio is a creative architectural, interior design & 3D visualization studio, based in Funchal. The office was founded in 2011 by Wojciech Hydzik and Claudia Alves.
The studio functions in a design focused environment, utilizing our knowledge of advanced computational and fabrication design tools, design sensitivity, creativity and visualization as the foundation of our work. Our portfolio and skills cover individual product designs to large scale urban projects, and span across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, covering residential, retail, hospitality and leisure sectors.
We specialize in Architectural Design, Interior Design, Furniture Design, 3D Modelling and Visualization. We are also committed to teaching our profession to students and young professionals, and often provide workshops in Funchal, Lisbon and Porto. Recently, we have also been teaching at the University of Madeira.
Currently, the office comprises of four architects, one architectural technician, one 3D visualizer and one furniture designer. We take pride in our diversity and believe our projects deserve the best attention to every detail from each of our core specialties. The integrated process in design, where architecture fuses with interiors and individual spatial elements, is where we thrive as architects and designers.
