Due to the obligation to protect labour, it is forbidden to become familiar with the conditions set out in collective agreements during the duration of the contract. The on-call time regime, prepared during the previous contract period, was included in the collective agreement. The child care agreement must be concluded in writing in advance. The national agreements cover about 28,000 workers and employees in 80 companies and more than 100 production sites. Collective agreements are one of the most important benefits of unions. Collective agreements have improved many legal conditions that affect the status of workers.

Under the new agreement, the reduction in overtime prescribed by the Competitiveness Pact will be eliminated by the gradual reinstatement of unpaid leave in exchange for longer hours during the term of the contract: workers will not be obliged to participate in collective bargaining, as negotiations are conducted by the union and the employers` organisation. Similarly, the bonus paid in lieu of unpaid leave in exchange for longer working hours will be gradually restored during the duration of the contract: existing national collective agreements will expire at the end of 2021, allowing the parties to implement a new trading model over a one-year period.
